Nestled on the shores of Lake Alexandrina, Poltalloch Station is one of Australia’s early pastoral properties. You can discover the rich heritage of this special place when you stay in one of the restored workman’s cottages.

There is the little two bedroom Station Hand’s Cottage, right amongst the reeds on the edge of the lake. This cottage features a king-size bed plus a second bedroom with two single beds.

The kitchen and bathroom have been recently renovated to provide up to date amenities in this quaint old world cottage.

With BBQ and laundry, views over Lake Alexandrina and fabulous bird-watching opportunities (the feathered kind), why not stay a week?

Take a guided tour of the property and buildings for a small but worthwhile fee. See implements that the early residents would have used in their daily lives and learn some of the history of this great family property.
