Nestled on the shores of Lake Alexandrina, Poltalloch Station is one of Australia’s early pastoral properties. You can discover the rich heritage of this special place when you stay in one of the restored workman’s cottages.

The larger Overseer’s Cottage suits families as it has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds and the third has 3 singles so there is plenty of room for all.

The lounge has reverse cycle air-conditioning plus a big slow combustion fire and the kitchen is spacious and well equipped to feed the hordes. There is a laundry for longer stays and BBQ for outdoor eating.

All the cottages have log fires for winter warmth and airconditioning for summer comfort.

Guided tours of the property and buildings are available for a small but worthwhile cost. See implements that the early residents would have used in their daily lives and learn some of the history of this great family property.

Outdoor equipment for canoeing and tennis are provided free of charge or you can bring your own.

Escape the rat race and spend time bird watching, bush walking, sailing, swimming, playing tennis, canoeing or just plain relaxing.
