Day 1 - Sunday 9.00 am
Leave Melbourne travel the Great Ocean Road via Geelong, Apollo Bay, Port Fairy to Warnambool. Have lunch at beautiful Lorne.
Night 1 - Overnight at Girt By Sea, Warnambool including served breakfast.
Girt by Sea is located in the heart of town, so leave your car and stroll to all the highlights of Warrnambool, everything is right on your doorstep.
Day 2 - Monday
Leisurely drive to Robe via Portland, Nelson and Mt Gambier.
Nights 2 and 3 - Stay in Robe in a trendy contemporary beach house with breakfast provisions for you to prepare yourself.
Day 3 - Tuesday
Explore historic Robe with its quaint old cottages and seafaring history. Watch the fishermen bring in their catch or enjoy a lobster lunch at the Wild Mulberry Cafe or the Gallerie Restaurant.
Take a walk along the cliff tops and see the ocean's ever-changing hues.
Day 4 - Wednesday
Travel the fascinating Coorong to Poltalloch Station.
Nestled on the shores of Lake Alexandrina, Poltalloch Station is one of Australia’s early pastoral properties. You can discover the rich heritage of this special place when you stay in one of the restored workman’s cottages.
Spend time bird watching, bush walking, sailing, swimming, playing tennis, canoeing or just plain relaxing. Tour the historic station
Nights 4 and 5 - Stay at Poltalloch Station in a workman's cottage on the edge of Lake Alexandriana. Provisions for breakfasts included.
Day 5 - Thursday
Take a Coorong Nature Tour. Operated by local naturalist David Dadd, licensed by National Parks & Wildlife South Australia. Tour in a comfortable, air-conditioned 4WD and learn about the Landscape, Birdlife, Fauna, Flora and History. Quality morning and afternoon teas and lunch are included.
Day 6 - Friday
Drive to Adelaide drop hire car and catch afternoon flight home to Melbourne
Optional extra night or 2 in Adelaide Hills or Barossa. Please call for details.
